Spent the whole of Sunday in NUH with grandma. Drifting in and out of sleep as she didnt get much sleep the night before. Was told she woke up in the middle of the night and walk around the ward. The nurses were so afraid that she might fall. I guess thats why she's so sleepy.

Wheeled her down and bought soya ice cream for her. She needs all these healthy food. Not drinking much water isn't helping with the situation.

Told my mum its time to look for a maid to look after grandma. None of us will be able to wake up at 3am to look after her and go to work at 8am. And she agreed with me.

I couldn't sleep yesterday night..

Its just so damn frustrating to see others not feeling anything seeing her being hospitalized. Whats wrong with accompanying her into the toilet? If she can pass motion easily I will be so damn happy. And not worry about the smell. Its really heartbreaking for my family to see her yesterday. And the way she keep saying she wanna go home with us. Her face is full with question marks as to why we are not bringing her home.

Please think of how to take care of her. Learn to appreciate her.

2 main items..

Firstly, my grandma got hospitalized early this morning. She had a fall in the room which I shared with her. To ensure she's really ok, we decided to send for a ambulance. After the hours of waiting, finally got to meet grandma in the ward. Few of us came home for a rest first after ensuring she is more or less ok. So far the results from her tests and check ups are ok. Given her some medicine and mum said she ate quite alot of stuffs.

I was so terrified when I heard her fall. Something tell me I had to wake up. And the first thing I do was to look for my grandma...

Its the first time that I realized its a good thing that she's sharing the room with me and not sleeping alone. I still remember when I was still in Primary School, I threw my temper at her for sleeping on my bed with me and not letting me sleep alone.. But she's always so forgiving towards us.

Please let her be ok..


Secondly..

Yes. I gotten my last sem results. Passed all, but just a tiny bit of disappointment. Was expected to get at least two HDs, for my commerical law and investment and planning techniques. But nevertheless, I'm happy that I pass everything and moving on to my degree programme next year.

im gonna come home more often for dinner.. she loves it when im home for dinner..

My results will be out tomorrow afternoon! *gosh* Kind of nervous about it.

Work was ok today. Kept myself busy for the whole day. =)

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!!

Ok. I'm not one to celebrate just a day. Its another public holiday to me, which means no need to wake up at 7am to drag myself to work. At the same time, it means I have the time to try my hands on new easy peasy recipes.

Managed to bake a new muffin recipe yesterday night (hardworking ya?) while bf was partying away. I'm really happy with the outcome! Though I think the recipe is more like a bread recipe than a muffin. Tried this on my newly bought non-stick mini muffin tray. Its so easy to use! I just need to over open the tray to 'pour' my cute muffin/bread out. Wonderful! Should have bought this earlier.

Banana Apple Mini Muffin/Bread

The original recipe called for apple, but since I have some bananas at home, decided to add in some mush bananas and at the same time, cut down on the sugar. Its really very easy to wrap this out in like just 2hours. I ended up baking 3 trays so that took up nearly 1.5hours. And the butter usage is very little, only 50g. Which means you can actually take one muffin/bread and play in your hands without feeling any oiliness.

Good way to spend my night. *smile*

When bf came back from Penang last week, we had a Hi-Tea buffet at Jurong Point's Zhou Kitchen. Lucky mum passed me the $10 voucher. Otherwise I think this meal is totally not worth it. The selection is pretty limited and they stop refilling the items 1 hour before the end of the buffet! Horrible. Service isnt that great too. Bf was commenting their service throughout the whole meal, which was of no good comments.

But one thing I cannot deny, the prawns used are fresh and crunchy. And another thing worth commenting on is the desserts. Though the variety is pathetic, they serve the different kinds of flavours in small serving/ plastic cups. And there's this ice jelly that has ginger juice in it, which gives you a refreshing feeling and is really gentle on your stomach.

I dont mind going back to try their lunch or dinner for one time to give it a fair judgement. But bf is in no favour of doing so. He thinks this place is a no-no. He hardly give such a comment.

Anyway, so far of the three places I tried in the new Jurong Point was a disappointment. Either the food standard is not as good as compared to other similar theme place in the old JP and/or the service standard sucks. And the places I went charges that 10% service charge which is totally un-justifiable.

Monday BLUES~

Saturday was spent at home rotting. Great, I forgotten what I did that day.. I only remember I didnt meet bf. =X

Sunday rotted at bf's. Surfing blogs for recipes.

And a mega long and scary nightmare at night.

Mum going to teach me chiffon cake this weekend!! Though simple, but requires skills to produce good chiffon cakes. Which is why panda chiffon cost so much.

Just booked tickets for Wild Rose on 1st Jan. Going to watch with mum.

Think my bintan plan will not happen.. Bf wont be free to accompany too. Maybe bake that day? Since theres so many recipes that I wanna try my hands on. Once school reopens I wont have time for all these..

Just saw doctor today for my running nose and light-headed-ness.

Had been taking med myself since two days ago to 'tong' through this week as my colleague is going off and I need to take over his projects. The running nose med from the doc stated 'non-drowsiness' BUT I ko-ed for 3 whole hours in the afternoon and till now I'm still sleepy. kns.

If bf find out about this, he sure nag me to the end of earth.

Bf is away for 3D2N, school trip to Penang. I almost cried yesterday while sending him to MRT. Its the first time since we got together offically that he is going oversea. Miss him so much..

While he is away, I shall blog about our Sentosa trip on Sunday with his nephew, JunYi. Though drizzling the whole day, we manage to have some fun visiting the Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon.

The last time we went to Sentosa was for CPG FM Family Day 2007, slightly more than a year ago...

Theres a touch pool at the entrance so that was our first stop. I manage to touched a puffer fish and star fish!!!! Bf is the one most familiar with the fishes, only Junyi and I were so excited to touch the sea creatures.

The little boy doesnt like to take photos, so almost all the photos of him were burry! The momment he saw the camera pointing at him, he will start moving.

Was pretty tiring to take Junyi out for such a trip. I was so tired while on the way home. Didnt even have the energy to shop at Vivo after Sentosa.

Or rather, everyone was kind of tired.

There goes my beautiful Sunday.

Christmas Log Cake & Blueberry Cupcakes

Obviously the Christmas Log Cake wasnt made by me. No idea where bf got it from too. He refuse to say anything about it. Just appeared at my house with the cooler bag with this inside. Not too sweet, well like by the family. Especially my grandma. Early christmas celebration.


Over the weekend I baked again. Been months since I last baked. Was too busy and plain lazy to do so. So decided to wrap up the easiest recipe I know of. Used this same recipe a couple of times already, but of different flavouring. Blueberry it is for this round. Nice! But I still prefer cranberry. The taste is better. And cheaper too.

2.5 share of cupcakes disappeared quite fast. Bought some for our Sentosa trip on Sunday too. I baked these on Saturday.

Rediscover Jurong Point

If you have a few hours to spare, drop by Jurong Point and get yourself fully amazed by the new extension. Also known as JP2.

Had a quick screen yesterday while I pop by NTUC to get some baking stuffs. Then had a full walkthrough today with mum. We spent a total of nearly ONE WHOLE HOUR in the basement alone. Goodness. So many new food outlets! Those that you normally see in town area only. And finally there's Burger King in JURONG!!!! Wow. Theres New York New York, Dian Xiao Er, Din Tai Feng, Bakerzin, and a few others interesting places that I wanna go and try their food. But the Q is HORRIBLE!

As for shopping, theres tons of outlets worth spending my money on! Like Joop, looks interesting. But also, there are some that looked so-so only. Already zoomed down on a handful that I will be using my Visa on. =X Yaya, I know I should save money. But still, a girl still needs her clothes to look good ya? lolz.

Theres Action City, Mini Toons and some other shops that sells cute stuffs too. Saw this umberlla that looks like a wine bottle. Cute! But not pratical.

Lots of homewares shop too! There's one purely on kitchenware! If my house Kenwood is to die on me, I will get another from there! lolz.

O ya, not to forget there this rather big part in L2 that looks like Thailand's MBK. Very interesting.

Another reason to stay in Jurong! Theres almost all the shops that I go to in town. Face Shop, Adidas, Bakerzin, etc etc. Cool man!

Purpose of today date was to celebrate the completion of my 2nd diploma. Though yet graduate, I had finished the last exam paper yesterday night. Something worth celebrating because I no long have to do accounts anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we dressed-up today.

Watched Bolt in GV Vivo Gold Class today. Using bf's present. *hehe* And I made bf promise to bring me there once in awhile. Esp on our celebrations. Enjoyable. Comfortable. But the food not really nice. =X I prefer nachos... All ang-mos there.

Took a look at Levis jeans. Planning to get one pair during their promo for Old Jeans.

Trained down to Taka to collect my blue label strip. Not really satisfy with it. But I'm too lazy to 'fight' for it anymore.

Bought a Burberry Handphone Strip. $160. Out of stock for the outlet in Taka and Ngee Ann City. Leg itchy walk into the shop in Paragon and saw it. Of course I buy!!!!! =X

And that ended my shopping spree today. Just because of a handphone strip. -_-!!

O well.

O ya.. saw Kai Wah today too! At wisma. Been so so so long since I last saw him! Still remember that time he was so pissed off with me because of zk. =X

Handed over my first project yesterday to the end users. Was a good day for me. Contractors like me. End users like my cheerfulness. =) Was a co-share project with another colleague. To guide me through how a typical project will be like. Working 6days a week is not a fun thing to do! In addition I had to finish 2 assignments. Horrible two weeks it were.

But its over now. Another project coming up.

My last exam for this dipolma on 5 Dec, this coming friday.

Then I will be free for 4 weeks before my degree programme starts. And it will be another two years of studying.

And thereafter, maybe a year to get my driving license and a car. Mum gave me her support to have a car, all I have to do is get the license to drive.

Hopefully my job will be smooth sailing too.

Things are good with bf. Though I was busy with work and school, it didnt mean he will be free. He was even more busier than me by fetching me from school and coming down all the way to make sure I have a proper dinner. Thank you. For all that you had done for me.

I really hope to spend some quality time with him during his school holidays. I cannot imagine how empty I will feel when he get enlisted into the army.

Had been blogging regularly for the past few years. Since poly days. But it was many months from the day I start blogging that I realize how easy it was to upload picture! Because it was real troublesome to upload to Open Diary (OD), so I didnt even bother to try out Blogger's. My first online diary was with OD which I started using since secondary school days. It lasted for a pretty long time till some stupid hackers cause the lose of all my entries. Used to wrote poems and post them out there. Pretty nice remarks I had. Everything was gone overnight.

Feel years done the road, I open another account in OD again, while maintaing a public blog.

If counting my OD-days, I had been writing online for 7years or more! And this is my longest surviving diary! =)

Anyway....

My days are pretty packed nowadays. Going to site everyday, assignments, bitbit, darren, school. Thats about it. Not even enough time for sleeping. Used to sleep at 11, now its 12 that is my bedtime.

Yesterday was a big celebration for something warm and cozy. So decided to take things slow today with bf for my actual birthday. He had decided a few days ago to take me to this Korean place for a nice BBQ meal because he remembered I wanted to have it. It was properly year ago that I said that. A casual and relaxing day with bf.

Turn out, the place is close after lunch hour and only opens at 6pm in the evening for the dinner crowd. So we decided to continue on the bus ride to Vivo for some bite and shopping. Didnt manage to get anything though.

After some walking we headed back to the Korean place for our dinner. And coincidental, this is the same place I had always wanted to try even before I am together with bf. On top of that, bf had always passing by this place when he was working near PSA. Fate I guess.

Take bus 176 from Jurong East or bus 30 from Boon Lay to reach. Its opposite Hwa Pai Villa.

Since this outlet specialize in charcoal BBQ, we decided that the BBQ is a must have! And its true.

We ordered one plate of marinated pork, one plate of marinated beef and one plate of mushroom for the BBQ. And also a Soya Bean Soup to go with it, which was recommended by the waitress. But turn out, we can do without the soup. The meat and side dishes was filling enough!

And yes, there was LOTS of side dishes! Which was expected for a traditional Korean eating house. And of course, not to forget tons of fresh veges to wrap the BBQ meat.

The serving staffs do the cooking for you. So no need to worry about getting yourself sweaty or smelly.

The side dishes were also tasty! Very up to standard. Its as if I'm back to korea. Was happily wrapping my meat with different kind of side dishes to give it a few level of taste and texture. *smiles*

We cleared most of the veges! I never had so much fresh veges in my meals in Singapore before! This is the first. The pancakes were good too, not to forget the mashes sweet potato, peanuts.

This is definitely a place to return! The whole bill came up to $91.80. If we did not order the soup, would be around $70plus, which is still accpetable since a meal at Big O or other resturant will fall within the range.

Both of us had such a fun time eating the food. A first for us in Singapore. Though I tried this in Korea before, I had always miss it and thought I will never get to eat traditional Korean BBQ again unless I fly to Korea! And today, bf fulfill my wish and it happens to be the same place I wanted to go to.

The environment is peaceful, cozy and very homy kind. A good place for a gathering between close friends to chit chat and enough good food.

The food is really worth the price we are buying for!

Darren really spoilt me today. Though I didnt get to buy anything, I felt happy. And this is the first time he go through the trouble to find a place to have a meal with me. I used to be the one doing the thinking. He was sweet, gentle and smily the whole time. It will do him no good to spoil me so much!!!!! Half way through the dinner I almost teared, because he is really too good to me.

This is really a good full stop to my 21st birthday celebration.

Though on leave tomorrow, I will need to spend time on my assignment and also to tidy my room which I threw everything in in order to make my living room looks good for the party yesterday. Plus with the presents, need to arrange my shelves.
