Chinese New Year 2009

This year reunion dinner was different. Instead of homecooked steamboat and BBQ we ordered food and had yu-sheng for starters. YUMMY!!!! Cousin bought it from the hotel her bf is working at. Lots of fish!!!!

First day of CNY, we went T3 for a tour.

Bought dark chocolate Ferrero for my beloved brother. He like it, and we saw the 24-pcs per box.

It was one of the best CNY I spent in recent years. Especially compared to last two years. 2 years ago was because of zk, last year was because of family thingy. This year was good. =)

Second day of CNY was busy, going dar's place, then 2 relative house, to my house and followed by dar's grandma place. Busy busy day...

11 Jan 09 went Raffles City Convention Centre with mum, aunt, cousin and mum's colleagues for a Reunion Lunch organized by Lian He Zhao Bao, $68 per pax.

Yes, its really blueberry sauce that we are using for the Yu-Sheng. Sounds weird right? I still cannot believe it. But then, you cant really taste the blueberry, but just sweetness. So its not so weird. And in case you didnt know, I'm a BIG FAN of Yu-Sheng. I LOVE it to bits! I can actually eat alot of this. But sad that this is only available during CNY. Cant wait to eat it again during CNY.

Braised cabbage with oyster and some weird fin thingy. This is good. The sauce will goes damn well with rice. Cabbage is very soft too. Pure goodness.

In subsitution of Shark Fin, we have a bowl of shark-fin-alike soup. Theres a weird strong taste to it that taste like mega thick soup based. Nice, but a bit too salty and favourful for me.

Crispy chicken with spicy sauce. But the sauce is not spicy at all! -_- But its juicy still..

Lotus leaf rice. Too sticky! And the taste get worst with the eating. They should have added more stuffs in.

Nice!!! Love this.

Yes. We had LOTS of wine. 2 white and 3 red. A total of 5 wines in a period of 2hours plus. But I only take a few sips for each. I dont wanna turn red there! But all of all, its the last wine that I like. The color is much lighter and clearer too, as compared to others. And hence, a lighter taste. The whites they serve is abit dry.

Overall, lack the 'wow' factor.

Im really overdue in posting lots of photos here! Finally transferred the photos from my digi cam to thumbdrive.

The whole family had a new found love of zi-cai at Commonwealth Cres Blk116. Its opened by 2 resturant chefs and within 3 weeks we already went there 2 times for dinner. But somehow I dont find it so nice the 2nd time we went..

Was it a week or longer since I blogged?

This week seems extremely long with my degree course starting. Orentiation was on Monday and I had been having classes for the last 3 days non-stop. Finally a break from school tomorrow.

Attended two modules and 'wow', this issn't something I can pass without studying and revising.

Environmental Control Practice
- understanding about pollutions, the causes and the preventions/ cures for it. and of course, how it impact the environment (humans, animals and plants)
- assignment is to write a proposal of 2000 words on the environment impact of your organization. however, the organization i'm being posted to has already have all the prevention in place, thus I need to discuss with my lecture before proceeding with it. already had some idea what to discuss on, but the information are hard to get! seriously. its not like you can get the answer off the net or flip open any books for it.

OHS Practice
- understanding the health and safety issue in a working environment. e.g. usage of PPE, risks, hazards, risk assessment, risk management
- one group assignment on any chosen OHS related areas, which is a very wide range to choose from
- one individual worksite visit report

Personally I find it time consuming to digest all the stuffs taught in class. Luckily this time round the lectures will be posted online too. So I will be able to revise with the videos uploaded by PSB. Should do this this weekend.

And its also time consuming to actually dig out and organize the information required for my assignments. But I guess I would need to start digging. Otherwise I might be cramp with lots of school stuffs in March.

p.s. im actually blogging while on my way home from school. all thanks to the max mobile bf wanna me to apply. =)

Shall blog next time about other stuffs. Im too overweighted with school currently.

I miss holidays.

Had a fight with bf yesterday. Yes. A rare one. One that really make me re-consider. Dar, please don't repeat the same thing again k? You promised.

All is well. =)

Had KFC for dinner yesterday since its the most likely food I will finish my share of. Hadn't been eating my meals well yet. But in order to balance out the unhealthy side of KFC, bf and I popped by FairPrice Xtra and got some organic veges to wrap the chicken with. Its a good idea you know? We share 2 baby butterhead between. But I suspect bf let me have most of the veges.

Went town myself yesterday to get a pair of Adidas using the voucher my polymates gave me on my birthday. Wanted to buy New Moon from Times too, but out of stock from supplier. Sucks. Wanted to read that before school reopen! But never mind, went into Daiso and bought some material to do my own recipe book. Time to reorganize my pile of recipes!

Bought a organizer from Popular too.

Now I'm considering to get a DS or not. It would be a good company and entertainment. But getting it would mean spending like $200? Hmm..

Wii would have to be on the hold. Too expensive.

From Monday onwards got to concentrate on school and work. JIA YOU!!!!!!!! Ni Ke Yi De!!!!

Its already 2009.

Like last year, I spent the last second of 2008 with Darren, and also the first second of 2009 with Darren.

Just a simple celebration. Not much of a celebration actually. Unless you count me staying up late and wishing bf 'Happy New Year'. No one has the mood to leave the house.

Arrangement had to be made that someone is looking after grandma before we leave the house or go to some part of the house to concentrate on a particular task, e.g. bathing.

But good thing shes back at the comfort of her own house and bed. =)

Watched Wild Rose just now with mum. A very nice musical. Enjoyed the songs. A good break for both of us. But its was also because the tickets were bought before my grandma hospitalization, otherwise I doubt we will be going too. I almost forgotten to collect the tickets! kns... $120 le.. If forgotten I would have waste that money.

Taking a break from work tomorrow. Previously was taking the leave to spend time with bf. But now, its to look after grandma. Will also take the time to tidy up some stuffs, reorganize my stuffs and time.

After these few days, my views of others really change greatly. I really saw the dark side of human. Horrible terrible. Worthless of respect.

I'm glad my mum taught me well of values and manners.
