the weather is so freaking HOT!
While waiting for my lunch (bro wanna to eat kfc, so sharing with him), pictures for the past two weeks.

This is what I baked today.. Chocolate Cheesecake Cupcake. Brother suggested less cheese, so for the second batch I added less cheese to it. The first batch was more moist, while the second, more like a cake.

What I baked last week... Brownie... Doing it again tomorrow..

9'' brownie

Followed one of the uncles for estate auditing and he brought me up to the roof-top. No need to climb LADDER DE!!!!!!! Got staircase to lead you up to the level. Wonderful right? Unlike those I went the first time...

trying to enjoy the last week of my school holiday. school will start on 1st july! Which is next tuesday. Sighz. When I'm actually getting use to my holiday, school have to start.

Yet to receive any news from Uni of Newscastle.

Hope I will still be able to bake when school starts. Maybe I will have to bake on Saturday instead.

Mom requested for the brownie again, so baking it on Saturday. Then I wanna try this Chocolate Cheesecake Cupcake recipe that I found online. Would be able to make 4 servings with the amount of cream cheese I bought. Phoon Huat only sells them at 2kg, so I have no choice! -_-!! Cant wait though. =) I like to bake the berry cupcakes again too.

Wanna try more cakes. They are more well received than cookies by my grandma and bf family. Maybe by next year I will be able to bake bread! lolz. Pray hard hard.

O ya, I wanna get a digital weighting machine too. Saw one at Phoon Huat that shouldnt be too expensive since its a housebrand.

Then if can, I wanna get some kitchen equipments too, saw some at taka. O ya, I need a new frying pan, those big non-stick kind. Maybe should use my Taka vouncher on those.. hehe.

Instead of clothes, I'm spending my $$ on all these. Goodness.

Tao's treating dinner tomorrow. =)

Day Seven cum Singapore

The last day in Japan and also all the stuffs I bought from Japan..

breakfast..

nothing much worth mentioning. But to have fries in the morning is weird..

The breakfast was at 13th level where you can have a rather good view of the scenery for the last time.

After breakfast it was almost time to gather to make our way to the airport which was 15minutes away. Only our tour group out of the four is taking this flight home, hence, no need to squeeze with out people. hehe.

Some people had a last minute shopping at the airport, for me, I took it as the last chance to actually see all the cute goodies of Japan. Its a feast for the eyes..

hello kitty cookie

Flight back was pretty boring, all because of the lack of inflight entertainment!!! Food was better though. Or maybe I'm too hungry..

While waiting for my first brownie to bake in the oven... here's the Day 6 of my Japan Trip, only 1 more day to go.. hehe

Day Six

Have a relatively early breakfast and rotted around before taking a domestic flight to some other airport which is nearer to the one we will be taking a plane back to Singapore.

On the plane...

Was very very hungry!!! No food on the flight and I bought nothing to snack on! Lucky our first stop was a a Ramen Museum which features all the famous ramen from all over Japan, from Miso to Spicy to Soy Sauce to Pork Bone. Thin ramen to thick ramen. Basically you need to pay an entrance fee into the museum and also another fee to buy a ramen voucher which will entitled you to a bowl of ramen from a pre-determined menu from any store. Otherwise, you will have to pay separately. Was told that this is a pretty popular eating place in Japan itself because of they are all ramen lovers and the price is reasonable too.

the oldies

where i had my ramen

soy sauce braised egg

soy sauce based ramen

I really really fell in love with Japan Ramen.. I can even drink finish all the soup and not drink any plain water! And the noodles are so Q. Pure heavenly taste. Simple yet wonderful. And the egg! I have no idea how they cook the egg that the egg yolk is still slightly watery yet cooked. And the outer layer of egg white is blasting with the taste of soy sauce. Goes very well with the hot ramen! Not to forget the pork slice in the ramen, its softened till it melts in your mouth. Even one with no teeth will be able to eat that! You cant help it but to eat the noodles with sound. Not acceptable in Singapore but a thing to do in Japan. I'm missing my ramens already.

happy us

some storyteller

she speaks ENGLISH!!!

the bottle i'm carrying is ban in Singapore due to the marble

Next stop: Chinatown (been there the first time I went to Japan)

bubble tea with pearl

pork bun
Dinner was Japanese style BBQ. We ordered an extra serving of Grade A beef which has lines of fats in between the meat.

see the beautiful layers of fat..

One serving of the beef cost 5,500 yen which is also the price of one whole abalone! No seasoning required, just grill it to whichever cook level you like and put it into your mouth. Bite and the juice will full your mouth with a hint of beef taste. Its sweet even! Taste no like a beef steak in Singapore. If you order Grade AA, there will be even more fats, but more fats means you will get sick of the taste even faster.
Saw this in the supermarket..

I never knew how it looks like fresh!
It was our last full day in Japan. The hotel that night was at a super HUGE hotel. Quite expensive I guess and its only a 15minutes ride away from the airport. No hot-spring, so packed the luggage and had an early night. Time to enjoy the soft comfortable bed. =)
